My Buster Story

Even though this story begins once upon a time, it is ongoing.

                Once upon a time (early Spring 2002), I was working with a Russian growth interruption crystal, meditating with it, sleeping with it.  The crystal was changing, actually filling in its voids.  A wonderful, magical time, interspersed with mundane life, paying bills, making dinner, doing the laundry, all the fun stuff.  I took a nap with the Russian growth interruption crystal and had this dream:

                I am in a combination nail spa/buffet.  My fingernails are being done by the manicurist from the Dawn dish detergent commercials.  In the background, people are ordering macaroni and cheese from the lunch buffet.  I tell the manicurist, “if you like crystals, I have something to show you”, and I bend down and at my feet is the black purse I am carrying at the time.  I pull out of that purse a huge crystal – it stands about a foot tall, has something poking out of its side, is clear quartz, but has a yellow portion to it.  It is much larger than the purse, so I am aware the purse has had to become pliable in order for me to pull the crystal out.  I think it has a flat bottom, because it stands straight up.  In my dream, I am SO excited because I KNOW this crystal is mine – I have been given a virtual crystal to work with and it is just this greatest RUSH that I could never have imagined.  I hear the phone ring and I awake from my dream.

                On the phone is my mother and I tell her about my wonderful dream.  In the next few days, I tell everyone about my wonderful dream.  They all look at me like I’ve lost it, but thankfully humor me.  I am certain I tell everyone more than once about my wonderful virtual crystal.  In an aside of the mundane, I had received a letter from WA State support enforcement telling me that Anthony was old enough (he had recently turned 24) that they were going to stop collecting unpaid child support from his father; that I could expect no more funds from him.

                The next day, I had planned a daytrip to The Cove, a rock shoppe in Shelton, WA that I had recently started visiting.  I had a list of rocks I wanted to research and perhaps buy.  At that time, the most I’d spent on a rock was something like $28, and I remember cringing at the price.  So I was at The Cove and telling the salesperson about my virtual dream crystal.  Imagine my surprise when she told me, “I think we have your crystal in the shoppe”.  She took me into what they were calling the Angel Room and showed me a beautiful quartz crystal cluster from Brazil, but it wasn’t the same one.  As a matter of fact, that was the first time I’d ever set foot in the Angel Room, because that was where they had the larger rock specimens and no way was I going to pay $1,000 or even hundreds of dollars for a rock!

                After several enjoyable hours (where had the time flown!), I was getting ready to pay for my purchases and leave, and I heard a voice say “you cannot leave yet, you have not seen me”.  Surprised, I thought it was a stone, perhaps from the display case in front of me, so I looked at each individual stone in the case (more than a hundred of them).  That wasn’t it, so I was saying goodbye to the salesperson and I heard, “you need to stay so we can meet”.  OK, if a stone was that insistent, I would stay.  As the only room I had not absolutely scoured was the Angel Room, I bucked up and entered it.  I started at the left-hand side of the room and greeted every stone in that room, large and small.  When I got about ¾ of the way around the room, there he was!  The crystal from my dream!  No longer virtual, but I was SO excited, I could hardly stand it.  The price was $800.  My heart sank.  I told him, “crystal, I don’t know why we have come together right now, but if you are as excited to see me as I am to see you, we need to be together.  I don’t have $800 to pay for you and have no idea where to get it.  If you want us to be together, you will have to help me come up with the money.”

                I went back the next day to visit him.  Great fun.

                The next day, I received a check for $2,000 from WA State support enforcement.

                Even so, I only put a 50% down payment on the crystal.  For several weeks, I kept visiting him.  I named him Buster and then was anxious, because Buster didn’t seem like a good enough name for a crystal that cost $800.  He told me “I am to bust through obstacles for you.  If the job is good enough for me, the name is good enough, too.”

                After about 3 weeks, after many visits and discussions, I finally paid for Buster and brought him home.  He stood up on the passenger seat and I put the seat belt around him.  He is actually double-terminated, and stands on a custom-made wooden stand as a lamp.  He does NOT lay down for anyone or anything.  He stands, thank you very much.  He has a bridge crystal jutting out of one of his upper faces.  When I got him home, he wanted to be pointed toward me as I slept, so that the direction he was pointing to (through me) was southeast.

                About the 3rd day after bringing Buster home, Brett asked me if I could get him to quiet down.  It seems every time the refrigerator turned on, Buster would start singing, and Brett was losing sleep.  I asked Buster to tone it down, and he did.

                Future adventures with Buster were:

  • Protection from Tektite
  • Meeting my Family and Being Weighed
  • The Big Boys are Coming
  • Pulling Back and Why

And more, commonplace at this time.  Life is Good!

Reiki is an energy healing system brought forth in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui, a Japanese gentleman.  Usui Sensei actually had a school, Usui School of Natural Healing, where he taught people to do Reiki on themselves in order to heal their experience/bodies/minds.

A fairly direct translation of Reiki is Universal Life Force Energy, and as such, Reiki can do no harm.  Reiki will not manipulate another.

Written in Stone

I can recall what it used to be like to think that things could be written in stone.  That was back in the day before I knew that stones/rocks/crystals are expressions of Universal Life Force Energy just like you and I, and are subject to change (just as we are).  I have:

  • Seen crystals “break out” in record keepers;
  • Seen crystals self-heal;
  • Seen a particular hiddenite crystal change its number of record keepers overnight (several times, yet!);
  • Heard crystals/rocks/stones speaking;
  • Seen rocks appear in mid-air over my home (and hit the roof);
  • I have had so many wonderful experiences in and around crystals/rocks/stones!  What fun!

 When I was in elementary school, we had a granite boulder in our front yard.  I loved that boulder!  I could sit on it, or leaning against it, and feel such peace and calm.  When we went on family road trips, I would continually look for the small white stones and pocket them.  Dad would say, “Time to go home, daughter; empty your pockets.”  What fun!

 As I grew older, I took on what I would term a typical human idea about stones and rocks:  I took them for granted, sad to say.

 Way back in 1999, it was suggested to me that I acquire a double terminated crystal and wear it on my body or in my pocket.  I was totally clue-free about what the term “double terminated crystal” meant, but I was determined to follow through.  I went to Jerry’s Rock and Gem inKent,WAand asked them what it meant.  They get major points for not laughing me out of the store!  I did not even know how to pick out a crystal or rock; so I simply touched each double terminated crystal in their store.  After several hours, I found a crystal that immediately (!!!) warmed to my touch, and I purchased it and carried it home in my pocket.  I discovered that I could wear that crystal as a “bra pal” only if I wrapped it in tissue paper or a cloth first; otherwise it would leave a red mark on my skin where it burned me!  That crystal really did warm to my touch!  I probably still have it somewhere, but I haven’t seen it for ages.  I say probably because they can tend to disappear (and reappear) at will.
