I usually have small 1-2 person Reiki classes, and wait until people come to me to schedule them. I provide handouts; a class for a given level will typically last 4-5 hours. You will receive a signed certificate at the end of the class. If you want to host a class: provide 2 paying students and a venue for the class, and you will receive a sizable discount.
I find it most helpful when students take personal responsibility for their training, and recommend they read the book Essential Reiki by Diane Stein before the first class. I like the overview which the author provides for Reiki as a whole. I also use the book to contrast some of my own understanding about Usui Reiki, and to generate discussion points.
I recommend waiting one month (at least 3 weeks) between the first and second Reiki levels. The recommended timing for the third, master, level is probably several months after the second Reiki level. You will be directed to practice self-Reiki daily from the beginning; you will find that Reiki adds so much benefit to your life and the lives of those around you!
While I do have a sliding scale for each Reiki level - ($90 to $120 for Reiki I or II) - ($120 to $150 for Reiki III), it is more important for me, personally, to increase the number of people who are attuned to Reiki and actively using it. If money is a challenge for you, talk to me. We can barter for some or all of the cost for a class. You can pay over time. We will work out a win:win situation for both of us.
If you are already attuned to Reiki and simply want a refresher course or attunement, talk to me. There will be a cost involved in the teaching and/or attunement, but you may be surprised at how reasonable it is.
