“You’re talking about superstring theory.”
I’ve been reading a book, Hyperspace, by Michio Kaku. Very interesting stuff, but what I read this morning reminded me of something amusing that happened at Cove Crystals in Shelton several years ago. At the time, I was running the rock shoppe on Sundays (I did this for almost 6 years). There was a young man (early 20’s, I’d say) who used to come into the shoppe about every 3 months or so and spend hours looking around; he always bought a small specimen. After 6 or 8 of these visits, he brought an older gentleman into the shoppe with him one Sunday, and introduced him as his science teacher father.
Apparently something(s) I had told the young man over time had rubbed his father the wrong way. I figured this out as the father started in with a fairly aggressive tone, asking me questions about the crystals and rocks and my belief in their abilities of assisting with human healing. I was accustomed to people of all stripes coming into the shoppe with their own ideas, so having questions barked at me suited me just fine. I enjoyed answering his questions as completely and calmly as I was able. At one point, his question (I don’t recall what it was) stumped me; I told him something like, “I don’t know the answer to that one. If you are interested, I will do some research this week and you can come into the shoppe next Sunday for a report of my findings; if travel is a problem, call me and we’ll talk about it.” His jaw dropped and he just stared at me for a few moments, then said, “You know, you could have told me anything and I would never have known.” To which I replied, “I know that; I am answering your questions to the best of my ability, which is important to me.”
I have long believed that everything is vibration at different speeds/rates, and that is the secret behind the healing abilities of crystals and rocks. In many cases, the dis-eased part of a person is vibrating at less than an optimal rate, and bringing the appropriate crystal and/or stone(s) into the person’s aura will cause the crystal/stone to “dumb down” its vibration to near that of the dis-eased part, which encourages the dis-eased part to increase its vibration, bringing about healing. Once it happens, this “dumbing down” of the crystal/rock needs to be cleared/cleansed, of course, before the stone can be of further assistance to the person. I use Reiki to cleanse my healing stones/crystals.
There are certain stones that will not dumb down their vibration: citrine and kyanite being among them – they need no clearing/cleansing. However, most stones and crystals will “dumb down” their vibration in order to be of assistance.
After several hours of questions/answers, interrupted only by my having to help other customers with their purchases, the science teacher father abruptly said, “You are talking about superstring theory.”
I never saw either of them again (so far), but I did learn that you never can tell where validation will come from! Who would ever have thought I would find myself at the cutting edge of scientific research?
